Joe Baile is Ole Porte Racquet Club’s Director of Tennis and co-owner. Joe is a native of Jacksonville NC and a former standout tennis player at White Oak HS and Methodist University. While majoring in Professional Tennis Management at Methodist, Joe received his USPTA Certification and has been an Elite level coach for the USPTA for the past 17 years.
Joe has continued to play tennis competitively while winning three USTA team state championships and reaching the number 1 ranking in the USTA 25 and under division. Joe still enjoys playing on local USTA league teams as well as competing in local tournaments, but his true passion now is coaching.
Having coached tennis for the past 21 years, Joe has had the privilege of working with a wide variety of ages and skill levels. He has worked with players on the WTA Tour as well as nationally ranked juniors and adults. Joe’s love for coaching is evident every time he hits the courts. His subtle but effective coaching style puts students at ease while promoting a fun and exciting learning environment.
Joe lives in Cape Carteret with his wife Kerry and their two children, James and Jade. Along with his family, Joe is committed to growing tennis in Southeastern NC by providing Ole Porte members and their guests with quality instruction and programming.
Billy Myer, Assistant Tennis Professional, is an accomplished player. Works well with youth and adults.
